Our First Custom Order Piece Completed! (And SOLD!)

I’m proud to announce our first custom order piece will be shipping out Monday!! We started by finding this piece in a specific size for our client. Once approved, we sanded, primed and painted this beauty in “Sparkle” by Valspar to match a nightstand the client previously purchased from us! She shares our enthusiasm for beautiful bright pieces! After paint, we sent our client fabric choices for the drawers and she chose my favorite! Sweet mockingbirds! I loved it so much, I whipped up a table runner to match. Hey Guys! I wanted to write and introduce you to my dear friend and photographer, Rebecca Arnold. She is amazing! I met her while working at TMR Ad Agency in Lakeland. {Yes I used to have a day job.} She is always a wonderful source of inspiration, ideas, creative feedback and best of all friendship. She has also allowed me to steal her photography for years now… hehe {Actually we trade sessions, but I think I am the one who wins on that deal}

Anyways, I ~~conned her~~ hired her to shoot some professional but casual photos of The Copper Lantana {otherwise known as myself and my bff, Crystal} being that while building this site I couldn’t find any pics of the 2 of us that weren’t ridiculous or shot in the dark using our phones…haha

This nightstand, American by Martinsdale, is a solid piece of beautiful furniture. This piece was given a beautiful new 2 tone white and taupe paint job and a rustic handsome piece of hardware. This would make wonderful bedside storage, or use throughout the house for a lovely elegant piece.

To bunk or not to bunk…

These boys are getting big! I just can’t believe how fast they are growing, I mean it was just yesterday they were all…

and now there all…

So naturally their rooms need to grow with them. I mean, we cant have the Muntant Ninja Toddlers living in babies rooms now can we? So I’ve taken to Pinterest for some inspiration on bunking these little ninjas up…

First from Ashley Ann, I love the colors used in this boys room… it was actually the inspiration behind Luke’s current room.

This one is SUPER DUPER cool! Hanging bunk beds=awesome…even though there is a detailed tutorial here I’m not sure J and I could pull this one off. Unless…we had the help of my amazingly crafty brother {I’ll save the beggin and pleadin until I have my mind totally made up.}
